August is here and the Danish summer (luckily) continues! ☀️  
 
Extend the summer feeling with local events and activities, while you slowly start everyday life again!

Vejle Fjord Festival - August 29th + 30th

 

Vejle Fjord Festival is an annual, free event held at Vejle habour/waterfront. This year on August 29th and 30th.

Two days packed with water activities, live music, a design market, visiting ships, street theatre, and much more...

Market Day at Nørremarken - August 29th

 

Join the Market Day at the square by the Nørremark Center, where you can sell second-hand items, homemade products, arts and crafts, plants, vegetables, homemade preserves, and other great finds.

There will also be activities for children, making it a fun day out for the whole family.

Market Day is a welcoming community event celebrating reuse, local connections, and great bargains.

Job Search Support - fall start up August 27th

 
Are you an international looking for a job? 
 
Vejle Newcomer Service offers you a monthly session, where you will get tips to your job search in Denmark/Vejle and be introduced to the Danish job marked together with other job seekers.  
 
Each time we will go over a subject that will be relevant for your future job situation - including inviting guest speakers to share their expertise. 
 
Free of charge but you have to sign up for each session!

Dads' Playground

Start up from August 5th

Drop by the Children's Library at Bryggen for a relaxed play session with your child.
 
Every Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., we bring out the toys and invite you to Dad's Playgroup.
 
It is free to join and open to all dads with children aged 0–3 years. Feel free to drop in at any time during opening hours. If your child is asleep, you're still very welcome to come by for a chat with the other dads. There's plenty of space for prams and strollers.

Drop by and try out a variety of musical instruments as the library team up with Vejle Music and Cultural School to offer fun and inspiring musical sessions at the Children's Library at Bryggen. New instrument each time.
